Keep it Wonky

I love having a work space that is organized, yet has the chaos of my brain pattern as visual inspiration nearby. Since the remodel of my "office" I've added the cork board wall to post all the things I find inspiring. Look what finally came in the mail!!!

As I previously mentioned, I have been awaiting my letterpress manifesto from the Keep Calm Gallery. I have to take extra care and not tear it before I get it framed, but I just couldn't let it sit in the package until then. The artists, Lesley and Pea in Sussex, actually own a tea room in St. Leonards on Sea. They began making manifestos in 2009 and here you can view their latest, which I'm almost tempted to buy!

Speaking of all these great type artists, I enrolled in school again for some continuing education to further the book design knowledge. I'm very excited! In the fall there's lithography and silk screening and I also made a schedule of weekend classes I can take at the San Francisco Center of the Book. Up first is Letterpress 1 next month on the 12th. These classes work so well with my work schedule I can't wait to get my hands dirty. Like the manifesto says, make stuff and keep it wonky people.
